My thought process is that we all have our own answers when we look within and really listen to what we are telling ourselves. I have seen so clearly that we don't learn by others telling or being told what to do/think or how to do/think. We eventually all come to our own answers in our own time. But... we also learn from others experiences when presented as "this is what happened to me". I think it causes us to think in a way that we try to relate other people's experiences to our own. We can then place ourselves in their shoes. Of course our perspectives are all based on our own life experiences and beliefs.
